Liverpool face Leeds as Sunday’s friendly schedule features five pre-season fixtures
Liverpool will play Leeds United in the final friendly of Sunday, 2 August, as clubs continue their preparations for the new season.
The match is scheduled for 23:00, bringing a day of five international club friendlies to a close. The fixture list also includes meetings involving Feyenoord, Atalanta, Burnley, Torino, Trabzonspor, Udinese, Galatasaray and Stade Rennais FC.
The games are being played before the start of the league season, with clubs using their friendly matches as part of their preparations for the campaign ahead.
Sunday’s friendly fixtures
The day begins at 16:00, when Dutch side Feyenoord face Italian club Atalanta. The match will be broadcast on On Sport Plus.
Burnley will then meet Torino at 17:00. The English club’s fixture is the second friendly listed for the day and is followed 30 minutes later by Trabzonspor’s meeting with Udinese.
Trabzonspor and Udinese are due to play at 17:30, as the Turkish side continues its preparations for the new season against opposition from Italy.
At 21:00, Galatasaray will take on French club Stade Rennais FC. That match is the penultimate friendly on Sunday before the day concludes with Liverpool against Leeds United.
Liverpool’s game with Leeds is scheduled for 23:00 and is the headline fixture of the day. It will be the final match in the listed friendly programme.
