Liverpool have set sights on securing the services of Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo as the summer transfer window approaches.
Mbeumo, who plies his trade with Brentford has performed admirably this season, scoring 18 goals in the English Premier League campaign.
The enterprising attacker has caught the attention of Liverpool, who are seeking to strengthen their squad for the new campaign.
Despite Mohammed Salah extending his stay, Liverpool will attempt to sign Mbeumo to bolster their squad for next season.
Salah signed a two-year deal with Liverpool, putting an end to speculation about his future. He now earns around £400,000 a week, which is £50,000 more than his previous contract.
Liverpool could allocate up to £200 million to strengthen the squad, and it is believed that the Cameroonian Mbeumo would cost around £50 million.
With 18 goals, Mbeumo sit fourth in the Premier League topscorers chat, with Salah, Erling Haaland, and Alexander Isak being the only players to have scored more than him.
Liverpool is close to winning the Premier League title and could become champions as early as Sunday if they defeat Leicester at King Power Stadium and Arsenal lose their match against Ipswich.
