Morocco teenage sensation Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League duo Liverpool and Newcastle United.
The 19-year-old center-back spent the second half of the recently concluded campaign on loan at Amiens FC due to lack of playing opportunities at Stade Rennais.
The Moroccan defender performed admirably for Amiens in his short stint, making nine appearances in the French Ligue 2 in the just ended season.
Boudlal’s impressive performance has caught the attention of Liverpool and Newcastle United, who are ready to make a move for the defender.
Newcastle have met with the player, while Liverpool have tabled a concrete offer in an attempt to snap up the defender this summer.
Meanwhile, the Moroccan youth international is also being monitored by Nice and two unnamed Spanish clubs.
His current contract with Stade Rennais is expected to expire in the summer of 2028.
