Lille’s move to sign Moroccan striker Hamza Igamane in danger of collapsing

French Ligue 1 club Lille could miss out on the signing of Moroccan striker Hamza Igamane this summer.

According to sources, the club’s move for the Ranger FC forward has stalled in the last 24 hours due to difficulty in agreeing on a transfer fee.

It is understood that there is a gap regarding the valuation of the player.

Hamza Igamane, 22, netted 16 goals for Rangers last season and has been a top target for Les Dogues as they look to rebuild their attack ahead of the new campaign.

Lille are in urgent need of a centre-forward following the departure of Jonathan David to Juventus and the return of Chuba Akpom to Ajax after his loan spell ended.

Despite recently signing veteran striker Olivier Giroud, Lille still face a significant gap in their attacking options, especially as they prepare for the Europa League competition next season.

Igamane remains eager to make the move to France, but unless progress is made soon, the transfer could collapse altogether.
