Despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Reims in the 8th day of Ligue 1, Monaco maintains its leadership position. However, not everything was ideal, according to Mounir Obbadi from the Franco-Moroccan community.
Obbadi commented on the current standings, stating, “The ranking is anecdotal. We’re only on the 8th day. We know it’s going to be difficult. We will have to be on task every weekend. There are small details to be sorted out to be effective in both zones of truth. All the teams have work to do, so do we. It’s not because we’re called Monaco that we’re perfect.”
The draw, however, worked in favor of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), bringing them level with Monaco in terms of points. Looking ahead, Monaco is set to face Saint-Etienne in their upcoming match on the 9th day. The competition remains fierce, and Monaco acknowledges the need for continuous improvement to maintain their standing in the league.
