Bedimo, who was part of the Montpellier team that won the French championship in 2012 under President Louis Niccolin, is eager to make an impact against his former club. Following a draw against Guimares (1-1) last Thursday, Lyon is in need of points, and Bedimo is determined to help his team get back on track.
Reflecting on his time at Montpellier, Bedimo shared his fond memories, stating, “When I arrived, Montpellier was classified as a team of head cutters! It took a long time, but our progress in the game was finally recognized for its true value. We really played complete football. The year we won the title, we had the best players in the league at every position. There was no flaw in our system. We knew our moves by heart, we had great collective control, and we knew how to manage matches. That year, the MHSC was a steamroller. It was incredible how strong we felt.”
Now at Lyon, Bedimo acknowledges the step up in expectations, describing the club as accustomed to winning trophies and emphasizing the high level of competition. He appreciates the pressure to consistently finish in the top three or four, considering it a motivating factor for self-improvement. Bedimo expressed satisfaction with his physical condition and readiness for the challenges at Lyon
