Yunis Abdelhamid Set to Join Luzenac After Leaving Arles-Avignon
Defender Yunis Abdelhamid is set to leave Arles-Avignon and join newly-promoted Ligue 2 side Luzenac after reaching an agreement with the Ariège club.
The Franco-Moroccan, whose contract with Arles-Avignon expires at the end of the season, has opted not to accept a contract extension offer from ACA president Marcel Salerno. Abdelhamid, who joined the club in 2011, had also attracted interest from Ligue 2 rivals Angers and Valenciennes. However, he has chosen to sign a three-year deal with Luzenac, with the move set to be finalized in early July.
This transfer marks a new chapter for Abdelhamid, who will be looking to make an impact in Ligue 2 after his departure from the struggling Arles-Avignon side.
