Ahead of the match against Lyon in the 32nd round of Ligue 1, Valenciennes coach Ariel Jacobs provided an update on the condition of his players.
Majeed Waris, the Ghanaian striker, who suffered from a quadriceps injury and was sidelined during the recent trip to Montpellier, may also miss the upcoming match against Lyon. “He still feels discomfort and had to leave training early this morning (Tuesday). His participation in the Lyon match is uncertain,” stated the coach on the VAFC website.
In addition to Waris, Mody Traoré remains sidelined, along with Rudy Mater. Traoré, a full-back from the north, has been nursing an ankle injury but is expected to return to training on Wednesday morning.
