Jean-Raymond Legrand, the president of Valenciennes, highlighted concerns regarding the timing and approval of Zouma’s transfer and loan agreement. He emphasized the importance of adhering to football regulations and expressed uncertainty about whether the deadlines for contract approval were respected.
AS Saint-Etienne coach Christophe Galtier acknowledged Valenciennes’ right to raise reservations and stated that Zouma was qualified to play. However, he refrained from further comment on the matter.
