After a disappointing home loss to Sochaux (1-2), Stade Rennais appears to be winding down their season, given their secured place in Ligue 1. For the final matchday of the championship, the Breton club will visit Reims this Saturday at the Auguste-Delaune stadium, likely with Cheikh M’Bengue in the squad.
Having been sidelined since March 15 due to injury, the Senegalese international is back in action. Manager Philippe Montanier confirmed M’Bengue’s availability, stating, “He is in contention for a spot on Saturday. He has recovered well and is in good shape. Our aim was for him to return for the last week of the championship to assist the team, especially since Steven Moreira has put in a lot of effort.”
