Ajax striker Chuba Akpom has caught the eye of a third of Ligue 1 clubs, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
The English-Nigerian forward, who has previously played for Arsenal and Middlesbrough, is currently with Ajax but has seen a shift in his role under manager Francesco Farioli. Instead of his usual central position, Akpom has been deployed out wide, yet he has still managed to score seven goals in 27 appearances across all competitions.
Despite his positional change, Chuba Akpom is open to a loan move away from Ajax this January. Ligue 1 clubs are keenly interested, with many in the market for a forward.
RC Lens, Stade Rennais, Lille OSC, OGC Nice, FC Nantes, and AS Saint-Étienne have all identified Akpom as a potential target. The striker’s versatility and goal-scoring ability make him an attractive option for these French top-flight teams.
According to Transfermarkt, Chuba Akpom’s market value is 8,000,000 euros.
