LIGUE 1-BORDEAUX: DIABATÉ FIT AGAINST RENNES?
Francis Gillot will have the services of Cheick Diabaté available for Bordeaux’s upcoming match against Rennes on Saturday, part of the 32nd day of Ligue 1. Diabaté’s return is expected to bolster Bordeaux’s attacking options, which have been lacking in recent matches marked by three disappointing draws. The Malian striker, known as the “Eagle of Mali,” has recovered from knee tendinitis issues and has rejoined the squad.
Despite being Bordeaux’s top scorer this season, Diabaté has only featured in four Ligue 1 matches in 2014, starting just one of them. He has been sidelined since March 1, missing over a month of action. However, Bordeaux will still be without the services of Nguemo, as the Cameroonian midfielder is nursing a calf injury and will be unavailable for the match against Rennes.
