Libyan side Al Shomooa announce signing of Nigeria defender Olisah Ndah
Nigerian defender Olisah Ndah has been unveiled by Libyan Premier League side Al Shomooa as he begins a new chapter in his football career.
The 27-year-old centre-back joins the Libyan outfit following the collapse of his proposed move to South African Premier Soccer League giants Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ndah, who previously featured for Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC, brings valuable experience from his time in the South African top flight to Al Shomooa.
His move to Libya provides the defender with an opportunity to revive his career and secure regular playing time after failing to complete a switch to Sundowns.
The Nigerian defender made his name in the PSL with his physical presence, defensive strength and ability to operate comfortably at the heart of the defence.
At Al Shomooa, Ndah will be expected to play an important role in strengthening the club’s defensive unit as they prepare for the new Libyan Premier League campaign.
His experience with Orlando Pirates, one of South Africa’s biggest clubs, is also expected to prove valuable as he adapts to a new footballing environment in North Africa.
The move marks another chapter in Ndah’s professional journey as he looks to establish himself as a key figure in the Libyan top flight.
