Liberia centre-forward Kolako Johnson has joined Romanian club CSO Baicoi after leaving FC Drenica and spending the summer without a club.

The 22-year-old completed the move on 4 September 2026, beginning a new chapter with Baicoi after his time at FC Drenica ended on 1 July. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the move.

Johnson is a 1.88m-tall striker who favours his left foot. His arrival gives CSO Baicoi a recognised central attacking option, with the Liberian having previously built experience across clubs in the Balkans and Africa.

Before joining Baicoi, Johnson represented FC Drenica, moving to the Kosovan side from Bulgarian club Spartak Varna in January 2026. That transfer was completed without a fee. His spell at Spartak Varna followed another free transfer from Liberian club Giant Brillars in January 2025.

Johnson’s earlier career included time with Lone Star and M.Club Breweries. He joined M.Club Breweries on loan from Lone Star in August 2021 before returning to Lone Star at the end of that year. He then made the move to Giant Brillars at the start of 2022.

His recorded appearances have come in a range of domestic and continental competitions. They include five appearances in the Superliga e Kosoves, three in Bulgaria’s efbet Liga, two in the CAF Confederation Cup and one in the Kupa e Kosoves, giving him experience in football in both Europe and Africa.

Johnson now moves to CSO Baicoi as a Liberia international whose club career has included spells in Kosovo, Bulgaria and his home country. The transfer was registered on 4 September 2026, with the forward joining after his period as an unattached player.

Kolako Johnson has completed his move to CSO Baicoi from a position of no previous club.
