Germany forward of Senegalese descent, Leroy Sane, has decided to remain silent on his future at Bayern Munich amid disagreement over the contract extension deal offered by the club.
Following Germany’s 2–1 defeat to Portugal in the UEFA Nations League semifinal on Wednesday, Sané declined to comment on his situation.
As he exited the stadium at 12:16 a.m., a SPORT1 reporter asked whether he would remain in Munich. Sané offered only a smile and a cryptic response: “Very good question.”
The 29-year-old winger is yet to reach an agreement with Bayern, with negotiations reportedly at a standstill.
As reported by Africasoccer, Bayern has not made any substantial efforts to re-engage since sporting director Max Eberl’s firm stance of “not another cent” regarding the club’s wage structure.
While Sané is said to enjoy life in Munich, he is reportedly dissatisfied with the terms currently on the table.
Meanwhile, it is understood that Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray are working on a deal to sign Leroy Sane this summer if he decides to leave Bayern Munich.
