German attacker of Senegalese descent, Leroy Sane, has opened up on the motivation behind his move to Galatasaray.
According to him, he chose the Turkish Super Lig club because they impressed him and showed they wanted him.
“Of course there were many offers but Galatasaray as a whole impressed me a lot. I was very impressed by the atmosphere and the size of the club, how much they wanted me and how much interest they showed in me.
“That’s why I made my decision to come to Galatasaray with great confidence. I would like to thank our President Dursun Aydın Özbek, our Technical Director Okan Buruk and Mr. Abdullah Kavukcu for bringing me here and taking care of me,” Leroy Sane said in his first interview as a Galatasaray player.
Leroy Sane, 29, has joined Galatasaray with immediate effect and leaves Bayern Munich on a free transfer.
Before his move to Galatasaray, Sane was linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham.
He is now set to open a new chapter of his career in Turkey.
