Manchester United have received a big lift ahead of the Europa League final, with defenders Leny Yoro and striker Joshua Zirkzee cleared to feature in the clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
Both players had been doubts due to recent knocks but trained well and are now ready to help the team in the crucial showdown.
Coach Ruben Amorim confirmed the good news, highlighting the players’ commitment and the medical team’s work. Zirkzee and Yoro, along with full-back Diogo Dalot, had been pushing hard to return in time for the final and will now be part of the squad on Thursday night.
“They [Yoro, Zirkzee and Dalot] recovered quite well. They pushed.
“Of course we respect the feeling of the player but we push a little bit because they want to be part of the team and that is a very good sign and it’s very good for us.
“Of course they are limited in the minutes for the game but they can help us win the game.
“I pick the best 11 to start the game and then it’s really important to have options off the bench to change the game.”
