Legendary France manager Guy Roux has eulogized Franco-Algerian talent Rayan Cherki following an excellent display against Auxerre.
The 20-year-old delivered an outstanding performance on Sunday as his side Lyon cruised to a 31- away win over Auxerre. The youngster was the hero for Lyon last week, scoring in the dying moments to level the score against the Red Devils in the Europa League.
However, the 86-year-old retied trainer has heaped praise on Cherki, who has performed admirably for Lyon this campaign.
“Cherki never makes mistakes, like a schoolboy getting zero errors on his dictation test. Every ball he touches becomes a good ball,” said Roux, clearly enchanted by the 20-year-old’s performance at Stade Abbé Deschamps.
His outstanding performance has caught the attention of several clubs in Europe including Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Newcastle.
Cherki and is expected to cost around £20 million. He has 178 appearances for Lyon, in which he has scored 27 goals and provided 43 assists.
