Ivorian striker Tiezan Koné, who was eagerly anticipated by the Algerian club MCA to bolster its squad for the season, will not be joining the team. Despite both Tadamoun Sour in Lebanon, his current club, and Mouloudia having agreed on all the terms of his contract, the Ivorian player was taken by surprise when the president of the Lebanese club called for the cancellation of all previously arranged steps. According to the president, Tiezan Koné is under contract until 2015 in Lebanon.
Expressing his disappointment, the player stated, “I am happy to have convinced the MCA technical staff. I knew that a lot was expected of me, and Mouloudia is a club that must play a leading role in the championship. I was ready to do my best to live up to the task and promise goals. Unfortunately, I am told that I cannot play at Mouloudia. I sincerely thought that I was free; I am dejected,” as quoted by Le Buteur.
