Paris endured a tough battle this evening but emerged victorious, clinching the League Cup final against Lyon. Adding to their almost-assured title of French champions, PSG secured a second title this season.
However, the season’s disappointment will linger with the quarter-final elimination from the Champions League against Chelsea, just three minutes from reaching the final.
In tonight’s match, PSG secured the win with two goals, with Edison Cavani finding the net twice, in the 4th and 32nd minutes from penalties. Lyon managed to pull one back with A. Lacazette scoring in the 56th minute.
With this victory, PSG takes over the League Cup title from Saint-Etienne.
