LEAGUE CUP: PSG NARROWLY MISSED OUT! THANKS CAVANI!

Cavanii 300x168 1

Paris Saint-Germain’s victory in the League Cup final is certainly a bittersweet one. While they successfully secured their second title of the season, the shadow of their Champions League exit against Chelsea still looms large. The Parisians would have been hoping for a more successful campaign in Europe, especially after coming so close to a semi-final spot, only to be eliminated in the dying moments.

In the League Cup final, Cavani’s brace proved to be the difference, with the Uruguayan striker stepping up in crucial moments. His early goals—both from the penalty spot—gave PSG a solid foundation, though Lyon’s response in the second half showed their resilience. Lacazette’s goal brought Lyon back into the game, but PSG held firm to secure the win.

It’s clear that PSG’s domestic dominance is still intact, but the Champions League remains the big prize they are striving for. With the domestic titles in the bag, the focus will now turn to ensuring that they make a deep run in Europe next season. What do you think PSG needs to do to finally conquer Europe, or do you think they’ll face more disappointment in the Champions League?
