Italian outfit, Lazio, have swiftly turned down AFC Bournemouth loan offer for Nigerian international Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in the current transfer window.
The Premier League outfit are seeking to bolster their squad before the closure of the transfer window, having lost several top players in the past windows.
However, Bournemouth submitted a loan deal with an option to buy for €18 million, but Lazio quickly turned it down in order to keep the midfielder at the club.
Meanwhile, Dele-Bashiru has also been linked with West Bromwich Albion and Nottingham Forest. Lazio want to keep him as other midfield departures could leave them short of options.
The 25-year-old, a Manchester City youth product, joined Lazio in summer 2025 after an impressive spell with Hatayspor in Turkey.
However, the Nigerian has struggled to secure a regular starting place under Marco Baroni last season or Maurizio Sarri this term.
This season, the 25-year-old midfielder has made just ten appearances in the Italian Serie A, without scoring or assisting a goal.
Dele-Bashiru, who has capped 16 times for the Nigeria national team will see his contract at Lazio expire in summer 2028.
