Larry Opara becomes available after Terrassa FC departure

Spain-Nigeria centre-forward Larry Opara has left Terrassa FC and is now without a club following his departure from the Segunda Federacion side on 16 August 2026.

The 23-year-old spent six months with Terrassa after joining from Torremolinos on 2 February 2026. That move was completed as a free transfer, but no fee has been recorded for his subsequent departure.

Opara made his latest switch after a spell in Spain’s fourth tier, where he played in Segunda Federacion Group II. He has also featured in Group III and the Copa del Rey during his senior career, recording 11 goals in 39 appearances in Group III and one goal in 15 Group II appearances. His record also includes three goals in four promotion play-off matches.

Born in Kubwa Abuja, Opara holds Spanish and Nigerian nationality. The 1.84m striker is right-footed and has spent his career in the Spanish football system, progressing from Burgos CF’s youth set-up to Burgos Promesas before moving through SD Almazan, CD Azuaga, Penya Deportiva and Torremolinos.

His career path has included a series of free transfers. He joined SD Almazan from Burgos Promesas in August 2022, moved to CD Azuaga from Almazan a year later, and switched to Penya Deportiva in July 2024. Torremolinos followed in July 2025, before his short stay at Terrassa began the following February.

Opara’s scoring record includes one Copa del Rey goal from three appearances, alongside the 11 goals he scored in 39 Segunda Federacion Group III matches. He has also played 12 matches in Primera Federacion Group II and appeared four times in promotion play-offs.

His market value is listed at €100,000, while the forward’s next club has not been established following his exit from Terrassa. The move formally ends his latest spell in Spanish football and leaves Opara without a club as of 16 August 2026.
