Larbi Tabti has been named the best player of Matchday 20 in the Algerian Ligue 1, following an impressive performance in MC Alger’s 2-2 draw against USM Khenchela on March 15.
The 31-year-old midfielder played a pivotal role in Mouloudia’s attacking and defensive balance, demonstrating his technical ability and work ethic throughout the match.
His standout performance earned him the accolade from the Ligue de Football Professionnel, recognizing his contribution to the team’s performance.
Tabti’s tireless efforts saw him dominate the midfield before being forced off in the 81st minute due to discomfort in his adductor muscle.
However, MC Alger later confirmed in a medical update on Wednesday that the midfielder has not suffered any serious injury and is fit to return to training.
This season, Tabti has been a key figure for MC Alger, amassing 2,007 minutes across 28 appearances in all competitions.
His consistency and influence in midfield continue to be instrumental for the club as they navigate the challenges of the league campaign.
