Spanish forward of Moroccan descent, Lamine Yamal has revealed that he still has a connection to the youth teams of FC Barcelona.
The talented teenager after going through the various youth teams at FC Barcelona is now a key member of the first team.
According to him, although he no longer plays for the youth team, he makes time to watch their matches.
“I have friends like Brian Farinas, and I was very happy for him. We watched the final while having lunch before our match against Atletico Madrid. He keeps me updated on Youth League and league games, and I try to go when I can,” Yamal said.
He continued, “With the youth and cadet teams, it is fun because there is more balance than with the younger teams, where the scorelines are usually one-sided. You enjoy watching them, and you see your friends play.”
Although Lamine Yamal could have represented Morocco at the senior national team level, he opted to play for Spain’s La Roja.
