Lamine Yamal, Barcelona’s rising star, has opened up about how he manages fasting during Ramadan while excelling on the pitch.
The young winger’s dedication to his faith hasn’t slowed him down this season, where he’s become a standout performer for both club and country.
“Today I woke up at four in the morning and had a good breakfast. Then, I can wake up later than the others because I skip the breakfast with the team. After that, I will train and, at the end, I go to my room to continue praying. I do this until it came to break the fasting,” Yamal shared.
“The electrolytes are necessary to maintain hydration levels throughout the day,” explained the winger of Barcelona and the Spanish team.
Yamal’s impact this season is undeniable 24 games, six goals, and eleven assists in La Liga.
His latest heroics came in a thrilling comeback against Atletico Madrid, where his 90+2-minute strike sealed the win. For Yamal, faith and football aren’t separate they fuel each other.
