FC Barcelona sensation, Lamine Yamal has revealed that he has worked on improving his physicality this year.
The Spanish forward of Moroccan descent believes that he is stronger this year than he was last year.
This he insists has helped him to become a better player this year.
“It is part of my body’s evolution. The stronger I get, the more power I will have in my upper and lower body.
“You can see the change. Last year, I could not get past three defenders because physically. I was not strong enough. Now, I can even shoot from midfield. It is part of the work. Now we counterattack a lot, and you need the stamina to keep going play after play,” Lamine Yamal said in an interview.
The FC Barcelona prodigy has been a sensation since the start of the 2024/25 football season.
He has six goals and 11 assists after making 24 appearances in the Spanish La Liga.
He is in the conversation for the 2025 Ballon d’Or award but will need to help his team win trophies this season to become a serious contender.
