Lamine Yamal embraces pressure after Villarreal hat-trick

Lamine Yamal admitted he feels the weight of expectations at Barcelona but insisted he is simply enjoying his football after his stunning hat-trick in the 4–1 win over Villarreal.

The teenager was asked about the growing demands around him following yet another standout display at Montjuïc.

“People expect me to score 100 goals per season since I was 16, but man, that’s difficult,” Yamal said with a smile. He added that he is “happy if I score one, two or three goals,” describing the Villarreal clash as “an amazing match” in which he “felt happy on the pitch.”

Yamal’s numbers already back up the hype surrounding him. He has now surpassed 100 goal contributions for club and country, an extraordinary return for a player still in his teens. His explosive form is helping to power Barcelona’s title push and reinforce his status as one of Europe’s brightest young forwards.

As expectations rise, Yamal’s relaxed but confident attitude suggests he is determined to enjoy the journey rather than be consumed by the pressure.
