Senegalese midfielder Lamine Diack, who was loaned to Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer last winter, is set for another loan move, this time to Turkey.

According to sources from L’Equipe, Diack has departed for his new destination, where he will join Hatayspor Kulübü.

The Turkish club has secured a loan agreement with FC Nantes, which includes a purchase option valued at 2.5 million euros.

Diack, under contract with FC Nantes until June 2025, will spend the upcoming season competing in the Turkish Süper Lig.

Hatayspor finished 15th in the last championship, and they hope Diack can bolster their midfield as they aim for a better position in the league.

The 23-year-old midfielder saw minimal action at FC Nantes during the first half of the 2023-2024 season, clocking just one minute of play.

His subsequent loan to the Colorado Rapids did not significantly increase his playing time, as he made only four appearances totaling fifteen minutes.

Diack’s journey through professional football has been marked by limited opportunities to showcase his talent.

With the move to Hatayspor, he aims to gain more consistent playing time and prove his capabilities on the field.

“Joining Hatayspor is a new chapter for me, and I am eager to contribute to the team,” Diack stated before his departure.

The Senegalese international is hopeful that this loan spell will provide the necessary platform to reignite his career and make a significant impact in the Turkish top flight.

FC Nantes, meanwhile, continues to manage its squad with strategic loan moves, hoping that Diack’s experience in Turkey will either lead to a successful permanent transfer or his return to the team as a more seasoned player.

The club has been focusing on giving their young talents the experience they need by sending them to different leagues across the globe.

Hatayspor is optimistic about the addition of Diack, anticipating that his presence will strengthen their midfield options.

The club’s management and coaching staff believe that Diack’s potential can be realized with regular playing time and the right environment to nurture his skills.

The Süper Lig, known for its competitive nature and passionate fan base, will offer Diack a unique opportunity to develop further.

As he integrates into the Turkish football scene, all eyes will be on how well he adapts and performs.

This loan move is seen as a critical step for Diack, who is determined to make the most of his time at Hatayspor and prove his worth.

The club and its supporters are hopeful that he will bring fresh energy and contribute positively to their campaign in the upcoming season.
