The LFP Board of Directors has initiated two calls for applications regarding the marketing of audiovisual rights for Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 for the seasons 2016/2017 to 2019/2020. The offers from broadcasters must be submitted between April 2 and 4, with the reserve prices yet to be disclosed.
Here’s an overview of the new products and the lots available:
New Features:
- Ligue 1 match days remain scheduled over three days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
- Match distribution remains similar, with 5 simultaneous matches on Saturday evening and 5 staggered matches.
- Shift of the Sunday afternoon match from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Friday and Sunday evening matches set at 8:45 p.m.
- Multiplex evening scheduled during the 19th day.
- The 1st day of Ligue 1 organized as a classic day.
- Modification of weekday schedules, with matches contracted over 2 days (Tuesday and Wednesday).
Lots:
- “L’Essentiel de la Ligue 1 ®”:
- Includes 2 major live matches per day.
- Also includes 2 magazines.
- “The Top of Ligue 1 ®”:
- Includes 1 major live match.
- Also includes a review magazine on Sundays evening.
- “Le 100% Ligue 1 ®”:
- Includes 7 live matches, 3 delayed matches, and 12 co-broadcasts per season.
- Also includes three magazines.
- “Events”:
- Includes the three multiplex days and the Champions Trophy.
- “Magazines of the week”:
- Includes rights to magazines every day from Monday to Friday.
- “Ligue 1® on demand”:
- Includes the rights to near-live extracts from all matches and magazine rights for video on demand.
