Kylian Mbappe is set to escalate his financial battle with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), referring the club to the LFP disciplinary committee for allegedly withholding €55 million in bonuses and salary.
The star forward, now with Real Madrid, argues that PSG breached their agreement, forcing him to take legal action.
The conflict stems from PSG’s claim that Mbappé agreed to forgo the payment if he departed on a free transfer. However, the Frenchman’s legal team insists that this informal deal was invalidated, leaving the club responsible for the hefty sum. Backing Mbappé’s stance, the LFP’s legal committee and joint appeal committee both ruled in favor of the player, demanding PSG settle the amount.
Despite these rulings, PSG remains defiant, rejecting payment and appealing to the French Football Federation, which dismissed their request for review.
An LFP insider confirmed that Mbappé’s referral has been accepted, with a disciplinary hearing set for December 11. The outcome could set a precedent for player-club disputes in football’s legal landscape, leaving PSG under intense scrutiny.
