Kylian Mbappe has silenced every doubt about his move to Spain with a 40-goal haul in his first season for Real Madrid.
After a quiet start, the French forward exploded into form, scoring 28 goals in La Liga and 12 across other competitions.
His latest strike came in Madrid’s 2-1 win over Mallorca, where he drew the match level before youngster Jacobo Ramon netted a late winner. The win may lift spirits, but it won’t rescue a season that ends without silverware.
Mbappe, however, stands just four goals shy of matching his career-best tally in a single season. With five assists to his name, he is also leading the race for the Pichichi, awarded to La Liga’s top scorer.
Mbappe made his debut for Real Madrid on 14 August 2024 in the 2024 UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta, scoring the second goal of a 2–0 win.
Though trophies have eluded Madrid this year, Mbappe’s personal numbers shine bright. His first season in white has shown he can carry the weight of expectation and still deliver magic.
