Kwadwo Asamoah is set to miss the next two weeks due to a right knee injury. This comes shortly after he started in Juventus’ 3-2 Champions League win over Olympiakos. Unfortunately, Asamoah will also be sidelined for Juventus’ upcoming Serie A match against Parma.
This injury news arrives just as Ghana is preparing to announce its squad for the crucial final two matches of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The Black Stars face Uganda in Kampala on November 15 and then Togo in Tamale for the decisive final game.
Adding to Ghana’s concerns, their captain Asamoah Gyan is also recovering from a knee injury, making his availability for these matches uncertain. Ghana will be hoping to have key players fit and ready as they push for qualification.
