Kossi Agassa, the Togolese goalkeeper, has put an end to transfer speculations by extending his contract with Stade de Reims for another year. Despite earlier rumors linking him to clubs like Lille or Lyon during the summer, Agassa expressed his desire to stay at the club back in May, and his recent extension confirms this commitment.
In a statement to the editorial staff, Agassa confirmed, “Yes, I extended it for a year.” This decision aligns with the club’s efforts to retain several key players. Stade de Reims president, Jean-Pierre Caillot, stated, “A certain number of our players have been extended. This is the case of Signorino, Aïssa Mandi, Christopher Glombard, Kossi Agassa, Bocundji Ca, Gaëtan Courtet, and Anthony Weber. They believe in the Stade de Reims adventure and they think that they still have a role to play in it,” as mentioned on the club’s website.
Agassa, who held the record for the most saves in Ligue 1 last season, is now committed to Stade de Reims until 2015.
