In just 100 days, the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will kick off in Morocco, from December 21 to January 18 2026.
The continent’s biggest football showpiece will bring together 24 nations and millions of fans to six Moroccan cities, with nine stadiums set to provide the stage for Africa’s finest footballing talent.
Each venue has been carefully selected to blend Morocco’s footballing passion with its unique cultural heritage. From iconic arenas in the capital Rabat to coastal grounds in Agadir and Tangier, here’s a closer look at the stadiums that will host AFCON 2025.
Rabat – Four Stadiums, One Capital
The capital city will be the heartbeat of the tournament with four host venues. Leading the charge is the Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah (69,500 capacity), which will host the opening ceremony and several blockbuster fixtures. Supporting it are the Stade Al Barid (18,000), the Stade Olympique Annexe Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah (21,000), and the Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan (22,000). Together, these stadiums ensure that Rabat will remain the busiest hub of AFCON 2025.

Complexe Sportif Mohammed V
Casablanca, Morocco’s football capital and home to giants Wydad and Raja, boasts the Complexe Sportif Mohammed V (45,000 capacity). Known for its electrifying atmosphere, this historic venue will host high-stakes clashes as fans bring the city’s unmatched football energy into the stands.

Grand Stade d’Agadir
On the sun-soaked Atlantic coast, the Grand Stade d’Agadir (41,144 capacity) offers a mix of football and seaside charm. With modern facilities and sweeping coastal views, this venue promises to deliver an AFCON experience like no other.

Grand Stade de Marrakech
The Grand Stade de Marrakech (41,245 capacity) stands as one of Morocco’s most modern football arenas. Set against the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains, it will host key fixtures in a city renowned for its vibrancy, tradition, and global appeal.

Complexe Sportif de Fès
The Complexe Sportif de Fès (35,468 capacity) will provide a historical flavour to AFCON 2025. Located in one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities, this stadium brings the game to a backdrop of ancient heritage and cultural richness.

Grand Stade de Tanger
With a capacity of 75,600, the Grand Stade de Tanger is the largest stadium of the tournament and among the biggest in Africa. Its size and modern design make it ideal for hosting marquee fixtures, including possible knockout games, as Tangier blends a cosmopolitan feel with sweeping Mediterranean views.
