Mahmoud El Khatib, Khaled Bebo, the Director of Football, has been appointed as the president of the delegation for Al Ahly’s training camp in the United Arab Emirates.
Al Ahly is embarking on an external training camp in the UAE from January 20th to the 28th, aiming to fine-tune their skills and strategies for upcoming challenges.
Khaled Bebo successfully completed all the necessary arrangements for the camp, including the requirements for the coaching and administrative staff, training facilities, as well as the meticulous coordination of friendly matches and all organizational aspects during the training period.
The Ahly delegation is set to depart for the UAE next Saturday, with two preparatory friendly matches scheduled during the camp to gear up for the upcoming phase.
Returning to training last Thursday after a brief hiatus, Al Ahly is faced with the absence of several key players who have joined the Egyptian national team for the Africa Cup of Nations, as well as the Olympic team’s training camp.
Among those unavailable for Ahly are Mohamed El-Shennawy, Mohamed Hani, Mohamed Abdel-Moneim, Yasser Ibrahim, Marwan Attia, Imam Ashour, Kahraba, and Omar Kamal, all joining the senior national team.
Additionally, the trio of Percy Tau, Ali Maâloul, and Aliou Dieng are absent as they join the national teams of South Africa, Tunisia, and Mali, respectively.
Furthermore, Hamza Alaa and Kareem El-Deeb are joining the Olympic team’s camp in Dubai.
In light of these circumstances, Marcel Koller has decided to promote 13 players from the youth and development sectors to participate in Al Ahly’s training sessions, showcasing the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent during challenging times.
