ALG: Noufel Khacef leaves CR Belouizdad for Al-Ahly Benghazi
Algerian left-back Noufel Khacef has left CR Belouizdad to join Libyan club Al-Ahly Benghazi, bringing his spell with the Algerian side to an end.
Al-Ahly Benghazi announced the signing on Tuesday, with the move giving Khacef a new professional experience outside Algeria.
The transfer represents another step in the defender’s career as he begins a new chapter in the Libyan league.
Khacef leaves CR Belouizdad after several seasons with the club, during which he gained experience at both national and continental level.
That experience is expected to be valuable to Al-Ahly Benghazi as the Libyan side looks to compete for the top positions in the coming season.
The move also provides Khacef with an opportunity to take on a different challenge after spending several seasons with Chabab.
His switch to Libya will see him continue his career in a new environment while seeking further development as a defender.
According to reports surrounding the transfer, Al-Ahly Benghazi agreed to activate Khacef’s release clause, which is estimated at about €900,000.
The payment means CR Belouizdad will receive a substantial transfer fee for the left-back, while Khacef gets the opportunity to continue his career abroad.
The agreement brings an end to the player’s time with Chabab and completes his move to Al-Ahly Benghazi.
For the Algerian defender, the transfer marks a significant change after his seasons with the Belouizdad club.
Al-Ahly Benghazi will now have Khacef available as it prepares for the upcoming season and its pursuit of a place among the leading teams.
His experience at national and continental level is expected to add to the qualities available to the Libyan side.
For Khacef, meanwhile, the move represents a fresh professional challenge.
Having spent several seasons at CR Belouizdad, he is now set to continue his development in the Libyan league.
The transfer therefore marks a new stage for both player and club. Al-Ahly Benghazi gains an experienced Algerian left-back, while Khacef begins his latest professional adventure outside Algeria.
The deal also gives CR Belouizdad a substantial financial return through the reported release clause.
With the estimated €900,000 fee agreed as part of the move, the Algerian club will see Khacef’s departure accompanied by a significant transfer payment.
Khacef’s move to Al-Ahly Benghazi consequently closes one chapter of his career and opens another, with the defender now set to continue his professional journey in Libya.
