Kevin Zohi swaps Torreense for Coimbra in Liga Portugal 2 loan move

Malian-Ivorian centre-forward Kevin Zohi has joined Portuguese club Coimbra from Torreense on loan, with the move running until 30 June 2027.

The 29-year-old completed the switch on 4 September and will remain in Liga Portugal 2 after moving between two clubs in the division. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the deal.

Zohi has already made four appearances in Liga Portugal 2 this season, playing 132 minutes. He has also featured once in the Portuguese Super Cup, adding seven minutes, although he is yet to score or provide an assist in either competition.

The striker arrives at Coimbra after spending the 2025-26 campaign with Torreense, where he joined on a free transfer from French club Stade Lavallois. He helped Torreense win the Portuguese Cup in 2026 before making his return to the Portuguese second tier.

A right-footed centre-forward, Zohi began his senior career with Strasbourg’s reserve side after moving from JMG Abidjan in 2017. He broke into Strasbourg’s first team the following season and was part of the squad that won the French League Cup in 2018-19.

Zohi later moved to Portuguese football, joining Vizela from Strasbourg in 2021 on a free transfer. He subsequently had spells with FC Sochaux and Stade Lavallois before his move to Torreense.

The forward’s previous transfer to Portugal came after he left Strasbourg, where he had established himself in French football. His career has since taken him between France and Portugal, with Coimbra becoming his latest club.

Coimbra have secured Zohi’s services for the remainder of the 2026-27 campaign, and the player is due to return to Torreense when the loan ends. The move gives him another opportunity to continue his career in Portugal’s second tier.

Zohi is contracted to remain with Coimbra until 30 June 2027 as part of the completed loan transfer from Torreense.
