Kevin Doukoure has been linked with a surprise switch from Romanian top-flight side FC Argeș to Liga 2 outfit Chindia Târgoviște, with the Ivorian midfielder reportedly on the radar of the second-tier club as they weigh up reinforcements for their promotion push.
The 26-year-old central midfielder, currently valued at around €400,000, is the subject of growing speculation in Romania, with reports suggesting Chindia are exploring a potential deal but with no clear indication yet of how advanced talks may be. The probability of the move remains officially listed as “?”, underlining that discussions are at a speculative stage rather than nearing completion. With no contract expiry information publicly available for his stay at FC Argeș, observers have also floated the possibility that Doukoure’s situation could evolve into a free-agent opportunity further down the line, which would likely intensify interest.
Doukoure, born on 30 March 1999 in Séguéla, Côte d’Ivoire, has built up solid experience across multiple European leagues since leaving AFAD-Plateau in his homeland for Slovenian side NK Tabor Sežana in January 2020. A steady rise in his market value there, peaking at €400,000 in 2022, prompted a move to Romania with Farul Constanța, before subsequent spells at Universitatea Cluj and now FC Argeș in the SuperLiga.
A right-footed central midfielder by trade, he has been used primarily in the middle of the park, valued for his work rate and ability to operate in a structured system. His valuation has cooled slightly from earlier highs, dipping from €600,000 at Universitatea Cluj to €400,000 at Argeș as of mid-2025, a figure that could make him an accessible target for ambitious Liga 2 clubs.
If the transfer to Chindia materialises, it would mark a step down in division but could hand Doukoure a leading role in a promotion-chasing side, potentially reshaping his trajectory in Romanian football and offering a platform to rebuild both his reputation and market value.
