Congolese winger Kevin Bemanga has resumed his professional career after signing for Minyor Pernik in Bulgaria’s second division.

The move brings an end to more than six months without competitive football for the attacker, who had been a free agent since leaving Dunav Ruse earlier this season.

His departure from Dunav had surprised many observers, particularly in light of the strong performances he produced for the club during the previous campaign.

Bemanga now joins a Minyor Pernik side undergoing a period of rebuilding while also attempting to avoid relegation.

The club hopes the experience of the Congolese winger will strengthen the squad as it works to stabilise its position in the league during the remainder of the season.

The deal offers Bemanga an opportunity to return to regular competition and demonstrate the qualities that had made him one of Dunav’s most effective attacking players.

His arrival has been agreed for the next six months, with the club expected to evaluate the situation again once the season concludes.

For the player, the move represents a chance to revive his momentum after a lengthy spell without matches.

Having previously played in France and Switzerland, Bemanga brings experience from different European leagues to the Bulgarian side.

Before his move to Dunav, the winger had spells with Angers SCO in France and FC Sion in Switzerland, experiences that contributed to his development as a professional footballer.

Last season proved particularly productive for the attacker on an individual level. Across all competitions, Bemanga scored six goals and provided four assists in 28 appearances, performances that helped raise his profile in the Bulgarian league.

Minyor Pernik will now hope that the winger can quickly rediscover that form as the club continues its fight to secure its place in the division.

For Bemanga, the coming months will be crucial in proving that he can once again deliver the impact that previously made him a key player in the league.
