Kawkab Marrakech have boosted their attacking options with the signing of seasoned Moroccan forward Khalid Boutaib.

The newly promoted side secured the 38-year-old on a one-season deal, adding experience and leadership to their squad as they prepare for a challenging campaign in the top flight.

Boutaib, who previously starred for Zamalek in Egypt, brings with him a wealth of domestic and international experience. His arrival is seen as a key move by coach Rachid Toussi, who pushed for the transfer to help guide the team through their return to elite competition.

The striker was once linked to Wydad Casablanca, but Kawkab moved quickly to finalise the agreement and make him part of their ambitious project.

Boutaib’s career highlights include representing Morocco at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where he netted against Spain in the group stage. Now, he is set to bring his sharp instincts and big-game mentality to Marrakech, with fans hopeful his presence will inspire both the dressing room and the stands.
