Kawkab Marrakech appoints former Morocco boss Rachid Taoussi as head coach

Newly promoted Moroccan top-flight side Kawkab Marrakech has officially appointed former national team manager Rachid Taoussi as their new head coach on a two-year deal.

Taoussi joins the club from Tanzanian outfit Azam FC, bringing with him a wealth of coaching experience across Africa and the Middle East, including stints in Tunisia, Algeria, the UAE, and most notably, with Morocco’s national and youth teams.

Reports suggest that Kawkab Marrakech has parted ways with Reda Hakam, the coach who masterminded their promotion campaign.

The separation was reportedly amicable, with the club settling all financial obligations owed to Hakam.

Taoussi, who enjoyed continental success with Maghreb de Fès and guided Morocco at both youth and senior levels, will now be tasked with stabilising Kawkab in the Moroccan Premier League and guiding them to a strong return season.
