Karim Tamer set for Austrian trial with Wiener Sport-Club reserve side

Karim Tamer, a player born in 2009, is preparing to travel to Austria for a trial with the reserve team of Wiener Sport-Club as he continues his pursuit of a professional career outside Egypt.

The teenager is scheduled to travel on 3 September for a period of training and assessment with the Austrian club’s reserve side. Wiener Sport-Club compete in the third tier of Austrian football.

Tamer recently played for Al Tayaran Sporting Club before receiving the opportunity to explore a potential move into European football. His forthcoming visit will give him the chance to train with the Austrian team and demonstrate his ability in a different football environment.

The opportunity follows an official invitation from Wiener Sport-Club. The club will use the trial period to assess Tamer’s level at close quarters and gain a clearer understanding of his capabilities.

The invitation represents a new stage in the young player’s development after his time with Al Tayaran Sporting Club. It will also allow him to experience the demands of football in Austria while being evaluated by the coaching staff at the reserve team.

Tamer’s planned trip is part of a wider effort by a number of Egyptian young players to secure trials with European clubs. Those opportunities are being pursued by talents hoping to begin professional careers beyond Egypt.

For Tamer, the visit to Austria will provide an opportunity to make an impression during both the training period and the assessments arranged by Wiener Sport-Club. The outcome of the experience will depend on the club’s evaluation of his performance and potential.

No decision beyond the trial period has been stated, but the invitation gives Tamer a route to test himself in European football. His journey is due to begin on 3 September, when he will travel to Austria to join the reserve side of the third-tier club.
