Napoli’s rumored pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi has ignited speculation in the football transfer market.
Reports from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano suggest both clubs are nearing a €40 million agreement to seal the deal this winter.
However, Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl has dismissed the claims ahead of their clash against Werder Bremen.
“The rumors that are circulating, as well as the numbers mentioned and the claim that we were about to settle with Napoli are not right. I can clearly deny that,” Kehl clarified during an interview with Sky on Saturday afternoon.
Adeyemi, a standout performer in Dortmund’s attack, has been a target of interest for several European giants. While Napoli appears eager to secure his signature, Kehl’s response indicates that no formal progress has been made.
With the transfer window in full swing, the coming weeks will determine whether Adeyemi remains in Dortmund’s plans or becomes part of Napoli’s ambitious push for Serie A dominance.
