Juventus have completed the signing of Germany striker Nick Woltemade from Newcastle United on loan during the final hours of the summer transfer window.

The Italian club confirmed on its official website that Woltemade will spend one season with Juventus, with the agreement keeping him at the club until 30 June 2027.

Woltemade’s move was completed after he came on as a substitute in Newcastle United’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in his final appearance for the English club.

The 24-year-old began his footballing career in the youth academy at Werder Bremen and made his first-team debut in 2020. He moved to Stuttgart in the summer of 2024, where he quickly established himself as an important attacking player.

During his time with Stuttgart, Woltemade scored 18 goals in 36 appearances and helped the club win the DFB-Pokal. His performances and goalscoring record attracted the attention of Newcastle United, who completed his signing in the summer of 2025.

Woltemade played 53 matches for Newcastle United, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists before joining Juventus.

His arrival gives Juventus another attacking option as they pursue their objectives in Serie A. The club have won their opening two league matches, beating Frosinone and Parma.

Juventus are preparing for a major test against AC Milan in Serie A on Sunday, 6 September. Woltemade’s arrival comes ahead of that fixture, although he had already featured for Newcastle United in their victory over Tottenham Hotspur before completing his transfer.

The German forward’s development has accelerated since leaving Werder Bremen. His breakthrough campaign at Stuttgart, where he contributed 18 goals in 36 matches and played a role in the club’s DFB-Pokal success, led to his move to Newcastle United in 2025.

After making 53 appearances for Newcastle United and recording 11 goals and six assists, Woltemade will now continue his career in Italy with Juventus. The loan arrangement is scheduled to run until 30 June 2027, giving the Italian club an opportunity to add his recent experience in England and Germany to a squad that has started the Serie A campaign with two victories.
