Juventus are reportedly reconsidering their transfer strategy for the summer, turning attention away from Napoli forward Victor Osimhen and instead targeting his Super Eagles teammate Ademola Lookman.
The Serie A giants had long viewed Osimhen as a ‘dream’ option to lead their attack next season. However, according to Tuttosport, Juventus have now stepped back from pursuing the 26-year-old, with negotiations complicated by Napoli’s reluctance to sell to a direct rival in the Italian top flight.
The club is now eyeing Lookman, who has impressed consistently at Atalanta. The 27-year-old has emerged as a more attainable and strategic option for Juventus, especially as they prepare to part ways with Serbian striker Dušan Vlahović, who has failed to meet expectations this season.
Lookman has quietly developed into one of Atalanta’s most reliable attacking assets, earning plaudits for his pace, work rate and versatility across the front line.
His performances in both domestic and European competitions have put him on the radar of several top clubs, but Juventus now appear ready to act.
Osimhen, on the other hand, has made his desire to leave Napoli clear for months, yet the club remain firm on their stance not to sell him within Serie A. Although he has a €70 million release clause, it reportedly applies only to foreign clubs—placing Juventus at a disadvantage.
As a result, Osimhen continues to be linked with a host of Premier League sides, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, all of whom are looking to bolster their forward lines ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
