Juventus push for Victor Osimhen despite Napoli penalty trap
Juventus is exploring every possible avenue to bring Victor Osimhen to Turin, even though a hefty penalty clause with Napoli is making the deal highly complicated.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Galatasaray striker is keen on the move, and all parties are open to it, but the numbers involved are daunting.
Galatasaray have an agreement with Napoli that triggers a penalty payment if Osimhen joins a Serie A club before September 1, 2027. That fee currently stands at €70 million, though it will drop to €50 million next season, and Napoli are also entitled to 10% of any future resale.
For Juventus, that structure significantly inflates the overall cost of the transfer and forces them to think creatively about how to structure a deal.
Despite these hurdles, Juve remain determined to find a solution that would allow them to sign the Nigerian without paying the full penalty amount.
Osimhen is having a strong season at Galatasaray, with 16 goals and 5 assists in 24 appearances, reinforcing why the Bianconeri see him as a potential long-term leader of their attack.
