Giuseppe Marotta, the sporting director of Juventus Turin, has asserted that Paul Pogba is not for sale, contrary to the suggestion made by Gianluigi Buffon. Buffon had expressed understanding for a potential transfer of Pogba as a means to bolster Juventus’s finances.
Marotta clarified, stating, “I understand the concept expressed by Gigi, but ours is that of a company that buys, not one that sells.” He emphasized that Buffon’s remarks were more in line with an entrepreneurial perspective, whereas Juventus evaluates players but does not prioritize selling.
This statement suggests that PSG and Real Madrid, who may have been eyeing Pogba for the next transfer window, may need to abandon their hopes of acquiring him from Juventus.
