Juventus Eye Gundogan and Verratti as Pogba’s Departure Looms
With Paul Pogba expected to leave Juventus this summer, the Turin giants are already preparing for life without their French midfield star. According to La Stampa, Juve are targeting Ilkay Gündogan of Borussia Dortmund as a potential replacement. Gündogan, whose contract runs until 2016, could be a realistic and experienced option for the Bianconeri.
In parallel, Juventus also maintain hope of landing Marco Verratti from Paris Saint-Germain, though such a move would likely be far more complicated and costly. The Italy international remains a core player for PSG and is under long-term contract, but Juve are keeping tabs nonetheless.
Meanwhile, Pogba continues to be courted by a host of European giants, including Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona, and PSG. With bidding wars looming, Juventus could receive a record-breaking transfer fee — and will be keen to reinvest wisely.
