Justin Njinmah tied to Werder Bremen longer than expected

Werder Bremen have far more security over Justin Njinmah’s future than previously thought, easing any immediate pressure over contract talks with the forward.

According to DeichStube, the attacker’s deal does not run only until 2027, as widely assumed, but actually extends at least to 2028, a detail that had not been public until now.

This longer-term agreement means Bremen are under no urgent obligation to open renewal negotiations. DeichStube also reports that, at this stage, there are no extension talks scheduled and no concrete approaches from other clubs for the 25-year-old. That gives Werder room to plan calmly, without the fear of losing a key player on the cheap or letting his contract wind down too quickly.

On the pitch, Njinmah has become a regular feature of Ole Werner’s side this Bundesliga season. He has made 31 league appearances and scored five goals, underlining his role as a reliable attacking option.

In total, he has now played 86 competitive matches for Werder, further cementing his status as an established member of the squad and a player the club can continue to build around in the coming years.
